Discover Oregon
Oregon's Cascade mountains include striking volcanic summits separated by large stretches of forested high country. South Sister, Mount McLoughlin and Mount Scott draw together three such landmarks from central and southern Oregon. They give the enquiry a clear volcanic theme while spanning more than one local mountain area.
South Sister belongs to the Three Sisters group near Bend. McLoughlin lies farther south, while Mount Scott stands beside Crater Lake's eastern landscape. Together they describe a broad Cascade journey, with the changing forest, lake and volcano scenery between the destinations contributing as much as the three summit names themselves.
