Discover Mississippi
Northeastern Mississippi has a landscape of wooded hills and folded rural country rather than a high mountain range. Woodall Mountain, Lebanon Mountain and Wicker Mountain are named elevations within that setting. The mountain terminology is local; the scale and atmosphere remain those of modest southern uplands.
Woodall provides the state's highpoint connection near Iuka, while Lebanon and Wicker add other northeastern hills to the enquiry. This is a chance to focus on an often overlooked part of Mississippi's geography, with the surrounding countryside as important as the individual points. The grouping identifies real landscape features without implying that they share public access, organised events or a single established walking circuit.
