Discover Louisiana
Northern Louisiana's hills are low, wooded and far removed from the delta scenery associated with much of the state. Driskill Mountain, Gentry Hill and Jordan Mountain draw attention to this quieter upland landscape. Despite the mountain names, their scale is that of gentle hills rather than high, exposed ranges.
Driskill provides the state highpoint connection, with the other named elevations adding nearby northern Louisiana context. An enquiry here is about woodland country and the character of the surrounding rural landscape, not an alpine objective. The three map locations are starting points for planning a suitable regional journey; the names themselves do not establish public access or a common walking route across separate properties.
