Discover Idaho

Idaho's mountains occupy a large and varied state, and Borah Peak, Hyndman Peak and Scotchman Peak reflect that breadth. The first two belong to central Idaho's high mountain country, while Scotchman looks towards the forested landscapes of the northern Panhandle. This is a selection of contrasting regions rather than a single compact range.

Borah is the defining summit of the Lost River Range, and Hyndman belongs to the Pioneer Mountains near the Wood River country. Scotchman stands much farther north near the Montana boundary. A journey built around all three would have a substantial regional span; an enquiry can explore that broader Idaho story or concentrate on the central mountains if a closer grouping is preferred.
