Discover Chittagong
Bangladesh's dominant landscape is low and river-shaped, but its southeast contains a distinct belt of hills. Keokradong and the other named elevations focus on that upland exception, away from the extensive delta plains that characterise much of the country.
The Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna systems create the broad delta landscape that dominates Bangladesh. The southeastern hills occupy a different physical environment at its edge. Seasonal monsoon rainfall remains influential here, with a humid rainy period contrasting with the milder winter months.
