Discover Togo
Agou and the other selected mountains focus on Togo's hillier southern interior. Their setting lies between the lower coastal landscape and the savanna farther north, illustrating one part of the country's narrow but geographically varied north–south extent.
Mount Agou rises near the Ghanaian border, within the wider upland region crossing southern Togo. The hills interrupt a landscape that changes considerably over the country's narrow width. Nearby high ground belongs to the same broader borderland setting, while coastal plains and northern savanna provide contrasting landscapes elsewhere in Togo.
